nicholasphotoWelcome to my website. My guess is that you are visiting it today because something in your life is not working for you and are feeling the need for something to change. It may be a relationship, an issue with family, a professional or job situation, or even the way you see or feel about your self-image.

You may be feeling confused and alone, and you may find it hard to share how you feel, especially with those who are closest to you. It can feel too risky, and you may be concerned that others won’t understand. Therapy is one way of taking back control of your life, by talking through what is happening with someone who is trained to help you process exactly what is going on, make sense of things, and gain some insight and understanding into what you are experiencing. Your therapist will help you to develop new ways of coping and looking at things from a different, even new perspective.

If this sounds like what you are looking for now, please contact me and let’s talk about how I might help. You don’t have to go through this alone. I offer weekend appointments for those whose work schedule makes it difficult to meet during the week.

Payment Methods: I accept cash, check, and all major credit cards for payment. I require 24 hours notice of cancellation for scheduled appointments.

My experience includes members of the LGBTQ+ community as well as clients who are heterosexual and I enjoy working with a diverse population of people. Some of the issues with which I have experience are:

• Self care and safe sex practices

• Religious issues, guilt and shame

about

I have maintained a private practice since 1990 and hold a master’s and doctorate in counseling. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Connecticut (License #00024) and credentialed by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NCC #32042).

fees

The professional fee for each session is $115 for individuals and $150 for couples. I have intentionally kept my fee fairly competitive so that it is affordable for my clients. Therapy sessions are 45 minutes long. Together we will negotiate how frequent our sessions will be based on your needs and financial situation.

Insurance: I accept Aetna, Anthem, Cigna, Concordia Behavioral Health, Connecticare, Harvard Pilgrim, Husky, Optum, Oxford, and United Healthcare and will confirm your coverage before we meet. Many insurance providers that offer out-of-network benefits will cover my service. If your insurance only covers therapists on your managed care panel, it will not cover my services. I will be happy to give you a monthly invoice to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement of out-of-network benefits.

I’m happy to discuss sliding scale if insurances do not cover my services.
